Shamrock Rovers’s teenage sensation Kevin Zefi is very close to completing a move to Inter, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Nerazzurri are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for the highly-rated Republic of Ireland winger, who turns 16 in February.

Inter are said to have beaten PSV Eindhoven and several other clubs to Zefi, who will play with the club’s Primavera side despite his young age.

However, his agent Stephen Carr exclusively told SempreInter.com on Wednesday that there is currently no agreement with any club, which comes contrary to this report and others circulating in the Italian media.

Should the deal go through, Zefi would not be moving to Italy alone, with the report from the Turin-based newspaper going on to add that both of his parents will be joining him in Milan.

Zefi has featured regularly for Shamrock Rovers’ first team this season, having made 11 appearances across all competitions for Stephen Bradley’s side, in which he has scored once.
