Inter have taken to Instagram to highlight the fact that both of Milan Skriniar’s goals this season were all but identical.

Skriniar put an end to a goal drought that had lasted nearly three years with a header in the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Hellas Verona on December 23, and he soon followed that goal up with a similar header in the 2-2 draw away at Roma on January 10.

This season the 25-year-old, who is under contract until 2023, has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side.

Inter posted: “You called it, Milan Skriniar.

“Sometimes, lightning really does strike twice.”
