Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has revealed he would love to play for his hometown club in Chile before he retires.

Rodelindo Roman play in the Chilean third-tier and are based in Huasco, the city where Vidal grew up and frequently spends time whenever he returns home.

As per an article on the Bundesliga’s official website, Vidal bought the club in 2018 along with some of his closest friends while they were mired in financial trouble.

“It would be a dream to play for them,” Vidal remarked in an interview with Chilean broadcaster T13 on Friday.

“I see myself playing with Rodelindo when my career ends.

“Hopefully I can do so in the First Division.

“The goal I have with Rodelindo is, hopefully God willing, to reach the First Division, be an important team in Chile and play in continental tournaments.”

Vidal joined Inter on a two-year contract last summer from La Liga giants Barcelona.

The 33-year-old has endured a difficult start to his career with the Nerazzurri but he has scored in both of Inter’s last two games, in the Coppa Italia against Fiorentina and in the Derby d’Italia against his former club Juventus last Sunday.

Vidal has also provided two assists for Antonio Conte’s side in all competitions this season.
