Inter Remain Uninterested In Exchanging Christian Eriksen For Roma Striker Edin Dzeko, Italian Media Claim

Inter have no interest in bringing unsettled Roma striker Edin Dzeko to the club as part of an exchange for midfielder Christian Eriksen.

With Dzeko facing an uncertain future in the capital following a breakdown in relations with coach Paulo Fonseca, Roma are thought to be keen to offload the Bosnia international.

However, FCInternews.it claim that the Nerazzurri are uninterested in engaging in a deal for Dzeko and have moved to deny reports of an exchange with Eriksen.

Indeed, Inter owners Suning are working to cut costs at the club and see no sense in bringing Dzeko in to replace Eriksen, with the pair on almost identical salaries.

Inter are determined to sell Eriksen and bring cash into the club to ease financial concerns, meaning that an exchange for Dzeko becomes even less likely. Alternatively, the Nerazzurri would allow the Danish midfielder to depart on loan until the end of the season should a club be willing to cover his wages.

Former Tottenham Hotspur man Eriksen has drawn interest from the Premier League, with the likes of Leicester City and West Ham United thought to be exploring the possibility of bringing him back to English football.
