Matias Vecino Could Return To Inter Squad For Coppa Italia Match Against AC Milan, Italian Media Claim

Inter coach Antonio Conte has been handed a boost ahead of the Coppa Italia Quarter-Final clash against AC Milan with the return to fitness of Matias Vecino.

The Uruguayan midfielder had been out of action with a long-term knee injury sustained in July and has not featured so far this season, but La Gazzetta dello Sport report that he has stepped up his rehabilitation recently.

Indeed, the former Fiorentina player could make the bench for Inter’s match against Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday after training with the rest of the team over the past week.

Conte could enjoy further good news in the form of Danilo D’Ambrosio, with the defender also on the comeback trail from his own knee injury and is working his way back to fitness.

The Italian suffered a ligament strain during Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Sampdoria earlier this month but has returned to training on grass in recent days.
