Fabio Maresca will not referee Inter again for quite some time following the events that unfolded at the end of the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw away to Udinese at the weekend, according to an Italian media report today.

At the end of the match, Conte screamed ‘It’s always you, Maresca’ toward the referee, a comment in reference to Maresca’s performance during Inter’s 2-2 draw against Parma in October, when he was VAR official and failed to give a penalty for a clear foul on Ivan Perisic.

During Saturday’s match in Udine, Maresca made several wrong decisions from failing to send off Udinese midfielder Tolgay Arslan to sending Conte off near the end of the game at the Dacia Arena.

After the game it is understood that there were some words exchanged in the tunnel and it now remains to be seen how long Maresca will be kept away from matches involving Inter.
