Inter don’t have much more room for improvement under Antonio Conte this season, according to the Nerazzurri’s former defender Beppe Bergomi.
The Nerazzurri missed the chance to go top of Serie A on Saturday when they were held to a goalless draw by Udinese.
Conte’s side remain most people’s favourites to win the Scudetto but Bergomi is not quite as convinced about their chances of glory this season.
“I think Inter have been like this for a year and a half,” the former Italian international, who spent the entirety of his career at Inter, explained while present in the Sky Sport Italia studios during their Sky Calcio Club show.

“I don’t know if that’s enough to win.

“I’m not sure if they can improve that much.”

Inter are currently sitting in second place in the Serie A standings at the half way stage of the 2020-21 season with 41 points to their name.

They are currently sitting just two points behind league leaders AC Milan, who have surprised many with the way they have started this season.

Inter are also in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia and are due to face AC Milan at this stage tomorrow; should they win, they would take on either Juventus or SPAL in the semi-finals.
