Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello could soon leave his post with the club, according to an Italian media report today.

As per CalcioMercato.com, Antonello’s departure from Inter is imminent and this could be an indication about how negotiations between Suning and BC Partners over the sale of the Nerazzurri are going.

The negotiations between Suning and BC Partners are proceeding and the report goes on to explain that the British private equity fund are almost certain to bring in their own people to form part of the management set-up at Inter.

Antonello has been in the role he is in at Inter since September 2017 and has previously served as both the club’s chief financial officer as well as chief operating officer.

Since the end of 2018, Antonello has shared the chief executive role with Beppe Marotta.

Antonello has focused more on the off-field matters including commercial issues whilst Marotta’s focus is more on the playing side of things.
