Inter coach Antonio Conte could be suspended for two matches after being sent off at the end of the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw with Udinese, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per La Repubblica’s print edition, team manager Gabriele Oriali could also be hit with a two-game ban.

Inter are rather annoyed by comments made by referee Fabio Maresca at the end of the match in Udine, believing what he did went beyond his duties as a referee.

Conte was shown two yellow cards and it is understood that the controversy between Conte and Maresca did not end there, with them also reportedly sharing some words with one another in the tunnel after the game, which was the first time this season in Serie A that Inter had failed to score.

The decision of sports judge Gerardo Mastrandrea is now awaited with regard to how long the suspensions will last.
