Edin Dzeko will not leave Roma in the final week of the January transfer window, according to an Italian media report today.

Reports in the media have suggested the Bosnian could leave the Italian capital this month but Il Messaggero said that Dzeko wants to stay with the Giallorossi.

Juventus and Inter have both been linked with signing the former Manchester City forward, but swap deals involving Federico Bernardeschi or Christian Eriksen do not seem viable.

In the event he is forced to leave the Stadio Olimpico, Dzeko would give priority to a move to another Italian club.

Dzeko and Roma will meet at the end of this season to talk about going their separate ways.

This season the 34-year-old, who has played for Roma since 2016, has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, which totals just over 1300 minutes, Dzeko has scored eight goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
