BC Partners could make an offer to Suning for Inter early next month, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Corriere della Sera’s print edition, the British private equity fund, who are conducting due diligence of Inter’s accounts right now, could make an offer at the start of February.
Suning are understood to be in a hurry to finalise a deal, so much so that they are prepared to drop their asking price for the Nerazzurri down to €750 million, and that is for the entire club.
The report does however go on to state that it is difficult for BC Partners to takeover everything immediately, therefore American fund Ares could come in on a minority shareholder basis.
If BC Partners succeed in buying Inter, there will be changes to the management team at the club but talk of an imminent departure of current chief executive Alessandro Antonello is said to be premature.
