Inter were offered the chance to sign Roma captain Edin Dzeko by his agent, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Corriere dello Sport, Alessandro Lucci tried to offer his client out to several major European clubs and in addition to Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were all also given the opportunity to take the Bosnian international.

But none of them can afford a deal for Dzeko due to the financial crisis that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused within football, with clubs not wanting to spend a lot on a 35-year-old who earns €7.5 million a year.

West Ham United are the only side to have made a concrete offer for the experienced but at least for now, Dzeko has said no to a move to the London-based club.

Sevilla have also made an enquiry for the former Manchester City player, who has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances at Roma this season.
