Inter have agreed a new three-year deal with Lautaro Martinez, according to a report in Italy this afternoon.

The striker’s representatives were back at the Nerazzurri’s headquarters for fresh talks today, having already met Inter last week after flying over from Argentina.

TuttoMercatoWeb reported that the parties have reached a total agreement for a new contract which will keep Lautaro at the club until 2024, not 2025 as was previously suggested.

El Toro’s salary will be increased as part of the deal, although no details were offered, while his €111 million release clause will remain.

Inter have also inserted a €150 million ‘anti-Juventus’ clause which would force the Bianconeri to pay more than other interested clubs.

An official announcement is thought to be imminent which will confirm Lautaro has committed his long-term future to Inter.

Reports last night in Italy suggested the parties remained distant over wage demands, but it seems negotiations have progressed more rapidly than most expected.

Lautaro has scored nine goals in 19 league appearances for Antonio Conte’s side this season, most recently netting a hat-trick during Inter’s 6-2 win over Crotone on January 3.
