BC Partners will adopt a different commercial strategy to that of Suning if and when they take control at Inter, according to an Italian media report today.
The British-based private equity fund are in talks with the Nerazzurri’s owners over potentially purchasing the club and will make an offer to buy into Inter once they have completed analysis of their financial accounts, potentially at the start of February.
As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, BC Partners would introduce a different sponsorship system that would be able to withstand another potential change of ownership in the future.
The report from the Rome-based news outlet explains that rather than agree sponsorships with companies with strong links to them, as Suning have done in their four and a half years in charge, BC Partners will seek sponsors who have no links to them.
This would theoretically guarantee Inter greater commercial stability as their sponsorship agreements would not be dependent upon the current owners remaining in charge of the club.
