Everton have made a timid approach for Inter’s Christian Eriksen which could turn into something more before the end of the January transfer window, according to an Italian media report.

As per TuttoMercatoWeb, the Premier League side are studying the midfielder’s situation and in the next few days things could take off, but it will depend on potential departures from Everton as well as Inter’s desire to let Eriksen leave.

The Merseyside-based club could make a decisive attempt to sign Eriksen and it now remains to be seen whether they will follow through or not.

Eriksen scored his first goal of the season last night in Inter’s Coppa Italia quarter-final win over city rivals AC Milan with him firing in a trademark free kick deep into injury time.

The 28-year-old has failed to register any assists in his 15 appearances across all competitions this term, making six starts for Antonio Conte’s side.
