Inter defeated AC Milan in a dramatic clash in the quarterfinal of the Coppa Italia by 2-1 thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen.

It was a night that will go down in Nerazzurri folklore for all the right reasons as this was a derby that had everything from grit and controversy to s last ditch winner.

Zlatan Ibrahmovic did what he always does against Inter, namely scores after some poor marking from Aleksandar Kolarov midway through the first half.

Just before halftime Ibrahimovic and Lukaku got into it and both got booked but the Swedish striker got sent off early in the first half for a challenge from behind on Kolarov.

Inter dominated and Lukaku got the equalizer after converting from the spot following VAR review after Nicolo Barella was fouled.

The referee Paolo Valeri was then injured and had to be substituted causing a long delay and 10 minutes of time to be added on.

With less than 2 minutes of added time left Christian Eriksen scored a gorgeous free-kick sending the Nerazzurri to the semifinal of the Coppa Italia.
