Rumoured Inter target Edin Dzeko wants to re-join Manchester City, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

Dzeko is seemingly on his way out of Roma after a falling out with coach Paulo Fonseca and as per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, his agent is testing the waters with several Premier League clubs.

The 34-year-old forward dreams of returning to City, where he made 189 appearances between 2010 and 2015, but Pep Guardiola’s squad is complete in the attacking department at present.

West Ham United have also been linked but the Hammers are not an attractive option for Dzeko, who is aiming to compete in Europe and for other silverware.

Manchester United is a possibility but they have not made a move for the Bosnian international while Chelsea are also interested.

Dzeko has been linked with potential switches to both Inter and Juventus in recent weeks, but the Nerazzurri are thought to not have the resources available to make a deal happen.

CdS’s report goes on to add that if he is not sold, Roma will put pressure on him to make amends and make peace with head coach Fonseca.
