Inter are working on a contract renewal for their highly-rated teenage midfielder Lucien Agoume, according to an Italian media report today.

As per TuttoMercatoWeb, there has been contact in the past few days between the relevant parties over an extension for the French youth international, who is currently out on loan at Spezia.

Inter are wanting to sign Agoume to a new deal partly in a bid to deter reported interest in his services from abroad, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich having been linked with signing him.

In the next few days, Inter will try and speed up the talks regarding the former FC Sochaux player, who joined the club in the summer of 2019.

This season Agoume has made nine appearances across all competitions to date while out on loan at Spezia but in his 740 minutes on the field, the 18-year-old has failed to make any goal contributions for Vincenzo Italiano’s side.
