Christian Eriksen will be rewarded with a start in Inter’s next Serie A match following his winning goal in the Milan derby on Tuesday, according to an Italian media report.

As per Corriere dello Sport, the 28-year-old Denmark international will come into the Nerazzurri’s starting XI for the match at home to Benevento tomorrow night.

Eriksen will not be the only player coming into the line-up at San Siro, with Antonio Conte preparing to rotate his squad ahead of Tuesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus.

Andrea Ranocchia, Roberto Gagliardini and Ivan Perisic could all come in while Stefan de Vrij, Arturo Vidal and Ashley Young are all rested.

Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku will retain their places in the starting XI to take on Pippo Inzaghi’s side, seeing as they are both suspended for the cup match against the Bianconeri in midweek.

Inter’s probable starting XI vs Benevento (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, Ranocchia, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Eriksen, Gagliardini, Perisic; Lukaku, Lautaro.
