Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the Holocaust.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day took place on Wednesday and Zanetti, along with head coach Antonio Conte, visited the Shoah Memorial in Milan, which was created in tribute to the millions who died during the Second World War.

Inter gifted a shirt bearing the name of Arpad Weisz, a former player and coach of the club, who was one of the victims of the atrocity at Auschwitz in 1944.

Zanetti posted: “On the day of remembrance, together with Antonio Conte, we visited the Memorial of the Shoah in Milan to honour the memory of Árpád Weisz and the millions of victims of the Holocaust.”
