After his match-winning impact against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia in midweek, Christian Eriksen will be rewarded with a starting berth for Inter against Benevento today.

The Nerazzurri welcome the newly promoted outfit to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A and as reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Eriksen will be involved from the start.

Having struggled to make an impact since joining from Tottenham Hotspur last January, the Denmark international enjoyed a stunning cameo against Milan on Tuesday as he fired in a last-gasp freekick deep into stoppage time to seal victory.

Despite the Coppa Italia Semi-Final against Juventus to come on Tuesday, Inter coach Antonio Conte is not set to overhaul his squad and will make minor changes against Benevento.

Samir Handanovic is expected to retain his place in goal, whilst Andrea Ranocchia will join Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar in defence.

Alongside Eriksen, the midfield will likely be made up of Nicolo Barella and Roberto Gagliardini, with Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic providing width.

Romelu Lukaku is suspended for the match against Juventus and so will lead the line alongside Lautaro Martinez.
