Inter took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate Matias Vecino’s return to competitive action this week.

Vecino had been out with a knee injury since July but played 70 minutes in Inter Primavera’s 3-1 win over Genoa on Wednesday.

The Uruguayan midfielder scored the opener after seven minutes received rave reviews from head coach Armando Madonna for his attitude with the Nerazzurri’s youngsters.

The 29-year-old joined Inter from Fiorentina back in 2017 and has since made 96 first-team appearances, in which he has contributed 11 goals and six assists.
