Inter’s assistant coach Christian Stellini was pleased with the approach from the players from start to finish he told an Italian broadcaster after the match against Benevento.

Speaking to InterTV after the 4-0 thrashing of Benevento in the Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, Stellini underlined how important the attitude was from the players throughout the match.

“It is clear that the 4-0 and the goals scored bring us a lot of enthusiasm. We are happy abut the approach from the first minute.

“Matches like these, against an opponent who has put a lot of big teams in trouble so far in the Serie A, are very important. We did a good job, creating chances until the end.

“I’m peaking not just as a coach, but as a member of the staff who supports Conte.

“For us it is a source of pride to see the right number of players at our disposal and who all have the right attitude, both during the week in training as well as during the matches. I have to compliment them all.”

Antonio Conte’s assistant was then asked to comment on the fact that Inter have the second best attack in Europe’s top 5 league’s stating that there is still a lot to improve on this front.

“We have been a team that creates the most for a long time now. but we are aware that we have to improve on our cynicism in front of goal.

“We are not always as prolific as we were today. Tonight, it went well, but there is still a lot of improving to do. We are aware that the road is long from here until the end.”

Inter won the match 4-0 thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku as well as a goal from Lautaro Martinez with Improta breaking the deadlock with an own-goal following a Christian Eriksen set piece.

The Nerazzurri now sit in second place in the Serie A Standings with 44 points, just 2 shy of cross-town rival AC Milan on 46 who defeated Bologna away earlier today by 2-1.
