Inter’s assistant coach Christian Stellini was pleased with Christian Eriksen and Stefano Sensi’s performances in particular he told the gathering press at the official post-match press conference.

Stellini was speaking to reporters after the 4-0 thrashing of Benevento in the Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with his statements reported by FcInterNews.

“Eriksen had a great game and above all we are happy that he gave a good performance in both phases of play. He is applying himself in this new role and we are please about this.

“We are happy not just about Eriksen, but we really liked what Stefano Sensi did who has only played a handful of matches but did very well in moving the ball when finding himself in possession of it.

“We are counting on this, on the involvement of the entire team.”

Antonio Conte’s assistant was pleased with how well the Nerazzurri behaved in both phases underlined by the four goals and the fact that Benevento didn’t have a shot on target.

“Both phases of play are important. We always create a lot in all the matches we play, we are not always good at exploiting the chances that we create, we were able to do so and we are happy.

“We hope to be able to continue like this and always be prolific in front of goal.”

Stellini was particularly pleased with the attitude and approach shown by the players who don’t play as often as others do in the win against Benevento.

“It is very important that the players are involved in the many matches that we play and it is a source of satisfaction to see that the players who don’t always start the games, give a great contribution.”

Inter won the match 4-0 thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku as well as a goal from Lautaro Martinez with Improta breaking the deadlock with an own-goal following a Christian Eriksen set piece.

The Nerazzurri now sit in second place in the Serie A Standings with 44 points, just 2 shy of cross-town rival AC Milan on 46 who defeated Bologna away yesterday afternoon by 2-1.
