Inter are ready to extend the contracts of striker Lautaro Martinez and centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, with discussions already underway.
Martinez has been in lengthy negotiations with the club over an improved deal, with his existing contract set to expire in June 2023.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are closing in on an agreement with the former Racing Club striker and are confident of confirming an extension shortly.
The 23-year-old, who netted his tenth Serie A goal of the season in yesterday’s 4-0 victory over Benevento, currently earns €2.5 million per year but is set for a considerable pay increase should he pen a new deal.
Meanwhile, talks have also begun over the renewal of defender Bastoni, with Inter keen to tie him down to the club after an impressive campaign so far.
Bastoni remains on the same contract he signed upon joining the Nerazzurri from Atalanta in 2017, and whilst he has two-and-a-half years remaining on his deal, Inter are ready to offer improved terms.
