Nerazzurri Assistant Coach Christian Stellini: “I Don’t Care About Juventus Fixture List, Only Inter’s”

Inter assistant coach Christian Stellini has underlined that he isn’t interested in discussing the fixture list of any other club’s other than the Nerazzurri’s, he told an Italian broadcaster after the match.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the impressive thrashing of Bevenento at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, Conte’s assistant coach didn’t seem to worried about the congested fixture list in coming weeks.

“I am not interested in Juventus fixture list but only Inter’s. We have a very dense fixture list but we are happy to be able to rotate players, involve them all and this time they were all very good.

“It is not easy to play as they did after a couple of weeks of not having played, so I want to compliment Ranocchia and Eriksen who gave great performances.”

Stellini praised all the Inter players but in particular former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen who had a great match against Benevento.

“We are convinced by what we are doing, we have been working on this for a while and we are happy with his attitude towards working.

“He is a very intelligent player and you can see this on the pitch. He is adapting quickly to this new role and tonight he almost looked like a natural playing there.

“He has to work hard, pay attention to both phases. He is a great player who is entering into the rhythm that we are looking for.

“In his career he has played in many roles, this role is a new one but he has played in all roles in midfield and since he is a top player he knows how to adapt with ease.

“We are happy with how he works in training to adapt to our league. It is not easy for anyone who comes from abroad, he has needed to do it in his time, we are happy but he needs to continue.

“And it hasn’t been said that he plays only in this role, he has played in different roles in the past and we are expecting continuity from him that he has shown us in recent times.”

Inter won the match 4-0 thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku as well as a goal from Lautaro Martinez with Improta breaking the deadlock with an own-goal following a Christian Eriksen set piece.

The Nerazzurri now sit in second place in the Serie A Standings with 44 points, just 2 shy of cross-town rival AC Milan on 46 who defeated Bologna away earlier today by 2-1.
