Inter sealed a comfortable 4-0 victory over Benevento in Serie A yesterday, and the midfield in particular dominated, Italian media claim.

The Nerazzurri bounced back from a frustrating goalless draw against Udinese last time out in the league to thrash the newly promoted club at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as Lautaro Martinez and a Romelu Lukaku brace followed an early Riccardo Improta own goal.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, midfielder Nicolo Barella was the stand out figure and he was named as man of the match by the outlet.

Barella was given a seven in La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings after the final whistle and was joined by fellow midfielder Christian Eriksen on the same rating.

Strike partners Lukaku and Martinez also received a seven for their goalscoring efforts up front, whilst centre-back pairing Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni joined substitute Alexis Sanchez in receiving a 6.5.

With coach Antonio Conte suspended following his dismissal against Udinese, assistant coach Christian Stellini was graded a 7 from the bench.
