Despite any hopes of a deal seemingly collapsing, the agent of Roma striker Edin Dzeko is making one last push to seal a move to Inter in exchange for Alexis Sanchez.

The Bosnia international had been offered to the Nerazzurri after falling out with Roma coach Paulo Fonseca, and an exchange of loans to send Sanchez to the Italian capital had been mooted.

However, complications surrounding wages meant that the deal collapsed on Friday evening and Sanchez went on to feature from the bench in Inter’s 4-0 win over Benevento yesterday.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci will make one last effort to revive the deal before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

The former Manchester City striker is determined to leave Roma after being frozen out and Lucci is hopeful of convincing both clubs to find an arrangement.

Any deal would still see Sanchez move in the opposite direction, but could well be hampered by Inter’s continued reluctance to cover Dzeko’s higher wages.
