Inter’s potential new owners BC Partners could adopt an Atalanta-style model should they take control of the Nerazzurri from Suning, according to an Italian newspaper report today.
As per Il Sole 24 Ore, negotiations between the parties remain complicated, not only because of Suning’s valuation for the club but also due to BC Partners’ proposed business model.
Suning value Inter as much as €750 million but the Nerazzurri have financial needs that could equate to as much as €150 million by the end of the year, meaning Suning will need any new investors to inject capital into the club quickly.
BC Partners are said to be analysing models of clubs before possibly getting involved at Inter and could well adopt the model used by Atalanta, which has brought great success to them from a financial point of view in recent years.
Atalanta have been named the best club in Italy when it comes to buying players, growing them and then selling them on for a great profit in this report.
The Bergamo-based club focus on developing young and promising players, without becoming hostages to players’ wages and the need to secure immediate results.
