Former Inter defender Andy Brehme is expecting fireworks in the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus.

Antonio Conte’s side will host the Bianconeri in the first of two legs at San Siro tomorrow, before heading to Turin next Tuesday.

The winner will face Napoli or Atalanta in the final with Inter dreaming of their first trophy since 2011, when they won the same competition under Leonardo.

“It’s a spectacular derby with Juventus,” Brehme told Inter TV.

“I saw Inter’s win over Andrea Pirlo’s side recently, they played very well and deservedly won 2-0.

“They’re the best team in Italy at the moment.

“It’s a shame this semi-final is two-legged though, I think a one-off match would be better.”

Brehme spent four seasons at Inter after joining from Bayern Munich in 1988, making 154 appearances in all competitions and helping Giovanni Trapattoni’s side to win the Serie A title in 1989.

Inter beat Juventus in the sides’ only previous meeting this season, running out comfortable winners in the league on January 17 courtesy of goals from Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella.

They are destined to compete in four Derby d’Italia matches in total before the campaign is over, with the second league meeting scheduled to take place at the Allianz Stadium in May.
