Inter and Sampdoria are keeping a close eye on Lecce forward Pablo Rodriguez, according to an Italian media report today.

As per FCInter1908.it, both of the Serie A clubs are watching the Spanish youngster, who came through the youth ranks of Real Madrid.

Rodriguez, who joined Serie B Lecce in the most recent summer transfer window on a four-year contract, first caught the attention of Inter when playing in the UEFA Youth League against the Nerazzurri for the Spanish giants.

The 19-year-old striker has made three appearances this season and scored two goals.

Rodriguez showed plenty of promise at Real Madrid and his arrival at Lecce has done anything but slow down his growth as a player.

The report goes on to explain that while Rodriguez is a small and fast player who loves doing various things when attacking, his ability to be in the right place at the right time and his calmness in front of goal are perhaps two of his most striking features as a player.

Rodriguez played the final 27 minutes of Lecce’s 1-1 draw at Pordenone on Saturday, leaving Eugenio Corini’s side seventh in the Serie B standings.
