Lautaro Martinez is the youngest player in Serie A to have hit double figures for goals this season, as highlighted by an Italian media report.

El Toro grabbed his 10th league goal this season during Inter’s 4-0 win over Benevento on Saturday, ending a run of six games without scoring in all competitions.

FCInterNews.it noted that at 23 years and 161 days, Lautaro is also the fourth youngest forward in all of Europe’s top five leagues to hit at least 10 goals, behind Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Stuttgart’s Silas Wamangituka and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé.

The report also highlights that he has become the third youngest foreign player in Inter’s 113-year history to score 30 league goals.

Only Mauro Icardi (22 years and 101 days) and Ronaldo (22 years and 110 days) have hit the 30-goal mark in Serie A earlier than Lautaro, who is seemingly on the verge of signing a new three-year contract with the club.

This season the former Racing Club player has 11 goals and six assists in 28 appearances for his teammates.
