Inter will not make any signings before tonight’s transfer deadline, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, ideas have not been lacking in the past few days as there were talks between the Nerazzurri and Roma over a loan swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko.

While some still believe talks could be resuscitated before the window shuts at 20:00 CET, it is difficult to imagine Roma offering to pay part of Dzeko’s salary in order to secure move to Inter, despite head coach Paulo Fonseca’s desire for the Bosnian to leave.

Andrea Pinamonti has been linked with a move away and had Dzeko arrived he would maybe have moved on.

Inter are one of several clubs to have been linked with making a move for Jiangsu FC forward Eder, who, as per the Turin based newspaper’s report, remains hopeful that Inter may come in for him and allow him to return to the Nerazzurri.

Time is running out for a move to be completed, however.
