Gianpaolo Calvarese will be the referee in tomorrow night’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg between Inter and Juventus.

The 44-year-old referee, who has officiated in Serie A since 2009, will be assisted by Ciro Carbone and Giorgio Peretti while Davide Massa will fulfil the fourth official role.

Massimiliano Irrati has been assigned to take charge of VAR at San Siro and he will have Giacomo Paganessi alongside to assist him.

Tomorrow evening’s game will be the 10th this season that Calvarese referees across all competitions and it will be second time that he referees a match involving these sides this season.

Calvarese refereed Inter’s 4-3 win over Fiorentina on matchday two of the Serie A season before overseeing Juventus in their 4-0 away win over Parma on matchday 13.

Inter and Juventus have met once previously this season with Antonio Conte’s side running out 2-0 winners on that occasion two weeks ago.

The second leg, which will be the third Derby d’Italia in the space of just over three weeks, will take place in Turin on Tuesday February 9.
