Inter Owners Suning Ended Talks With BC Partners 10 Days Ago, Italian Media Report Claims

Inter’s owners Suning pulled out of negotiations with prospective investors BC Partners 10 days ago, according to an Italian news agency today.

BC Partners have been heavily linked with buying into Inter in recent weeks but as per Ansa, the conditions to proceed seriously with talks have never existed.

Sources close to Suning have told Ansa that the search for a new investor at Inter is ongoing and there are talks taking place with ‘other important international funds’.

Although not specifically mentioned in this report, Ares, Arctos Sports Partners, Temasek and EQT have all been linked with potential investment in Inter by other sources recently and now have a chance to fill the vacancy left by BC Partners.

Ansa’s report tallies with a story from Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this afternoon, which said Suning had ended their talks with BC Partners after deeming the British-based firm’s offer for Inter to be far too low.
