Inter have only won one of six games this season in which Romelu Lukaku has played fewer than 30 minutes, an Italian media report has highlighted today.

Lukaku is without doubt a pivotal figure in Antonio Conte’s side and has been ever since his arrival in a club record transfer deal from Manchester United in the summer of 2019.

He missed last night’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg at home to Juventus through suspension and Inter predictably lost 2-1 at San Siro, having squandered numerous chances in the second half.

La Repubblica, via their print edition, highlight that the Nerazzurri’s only win when Lukaku has played less than half an hour this season came at Sassuolo on November 28, when Conte’s side secured a 3-0 victory.

Inter lost to Real Madrid and drew with Parma in their only two games this season where Lukaku did not feature at all, while they drew with Atalanta and lost at Sampdoria in matches where the Belgian came on as a second-half substitute.

Lukaku has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date this season, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
