Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has been named in WhoScored.com’s Serie A team of the month for January.

The Croatian international has made the cut with thanks to an average rating of 7.6 over the course of last month, which is the joint-third highest average rating in the team.

Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne was the player of the month in Serie A with an average rating of 7.8, with Cristiano Ronaldo joint-second alongside Atalanta’s Cristian Romero with an average rating of 7.7.

Brozovic is joined in third spot alongside Juventus winger Federico Chiesa and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 28-year-old is the only Inter representative in the team, which is dominated by Juventus players with no less than four Bianconeri players making the side.

Brozovic has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, in which he has scored as single goal and provided a total of seven assists for his teammates.

He played 85 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus in the first leg of Inter’s Coppa Italia semi-final.
