Inter were the architects of their own downfall in last night’s Coppa Italia defeat to Juventus, according to Italian journalist and Nerazzurri supporter Fabrizio Biasin.

Lautaro Martinez struck early for Antonio Conte’s side in their semi-final first leg, but it proved to be a false dawn as Cristiano Ronaldo’s double gave the visitors the lead at half-time.

Inter were unable to reverse their 2-1 deficit in the second half, despite creating numerous chances, meaning they have a mountain to climb in Turin next Tuesday.

Biasin took to Twitter and said: “Juventus were much improved from two weeks ago, they were organised on the pitch and more focused.

“Inter are still too imprecise in attack and cannot gift two goals to any team, let alone Juventus.”
