Inter are expected to bid farewell to two defenders in this summer’s transfer window.

Gazzetta dello Sport, via their online edition, reported tonight that Aleksandar Kolarov appears destined to leave the Nerazzurri, having failed to meet expectations since joining from Roma last summer.

Matteo Darmian is meanwhile not certain to stay with the club either, even though the Italian has proved to be a good option for Antonio Conte in recent weeks given his versatility.

The Milanese publication also reported that there was no certainty over Ashley Young’s future either, despite the English wing-back enjoying regular game time again this season in Conte’s 3-5-2 system.

Inter’s only wing-back options certain of staying at the club, as per this report, are Achraf Hakimi and Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The Nerazzurri are in fact prepared to offer D’Ambrosio a new contract through until the end of next season, although it cannot be excluded that the 32-year-old will be given a new deal until 2023 either.
