Inter have no intention of losing Lucien Agoume to another club this summer, according to a report in the Italian media.

The 18-year-old has finally nailed down a spot in Spezia’s midfield, where he is playing on a season-long loan, starting each of their last six matches in Serie A.

CalcioMercato.com claim Inter considered recalling Agoume in January earlier this season, when he was struggling for game time under Vincenzo Italiano, with reports in France suggesting he could remain with Antonio Conte’s side until the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri ultimately opted to let Agoume remain in Liguria until the summer, though, in order to let him continue his development away from the spotlight.

Inter have a great deal of belief in the midfielder, who has now made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, and are said to have no intention of listening to any offers for Agoume from other clubs.

Agoume made three appearances under Conte for Inter last year, all of which came as a second-half substitute.

His representative Crescenzo Cecere last week confirmed the player’s agent was in talks with the Nerazzurri over a possible contract extension, amid rumoured interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
