Midfielder Nicolo Barella was the man of the match in Inter’s 2-0 victory over Fiorentina yesterday, according to Italian media.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian international top-scored in their post match ratings with a 7.5 after netting the opener in the Serie A win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The former Cagliari midfielder broke the deadlock midway through the first half as he rifled in from outside the area, and played the full 90 minutes as Inter went a point clear at the top of the table.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and forward Alexis Sanchez were each given a 7 and were joined by wing-back Achraf Hakimi, after the Moroccan laid on an assist for Ivan Perisic’s second half goal.

Chile international Arturo Vidal was the lowest scorer for the Nerazzurri and he was marked a 5.5 after an underwhelming display. The midfielder was substituted at half-time for Roberto Gagliardini.
