Performance Of Fiorentina Goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski Denied Inter Even Bigger Victory, Italian Media Suggest

Fiorentina had goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski to thank for keeping the score respectable, as Inter secured a 2-0 win in Serie A yesterday.

The Nerazzurri went one point clear at the top of the table after a first half Nicolo Barella strike was followed up by Ivan Perisic’s goal after the break, in a comfortable win for Antonio Conte’s side.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the margin of victory could have been much wider had it not been for the performance of Dragowski for Fiorentina, as the Poland international pulled off a string of saves throughout the match.

Tuttosport pointed to a growing list of absences as a factor in Fiorentina’s failure to trouble Inter, but conceded that the Nerazzurri had been too good and were only denied a bigger win by the heroics of the goalkeeper.

The Viola were without the suspended Giovanni Castrovilli and Nikola Milenkovic, whilst Franck Ribery and Martin Caceres were ruled out through injury.

Inter’s win saw them move top of the Serie A table ahead of AC Milan’s match against Crotone tomorrow.
