Inter’s victory over Fiorentina on Friday in the Serie A saw central defender Milan Skriniar reach a milestone in his Nerazzuri career.

According to Inter’s official website it was the 50th time Inter kept a clean sheet with the Slovakian international central defender on the pitch.

Skriniar has been ever present in the Inter starting eleven this season alongside Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni forming a formidable partnership in Conte’s preferred three at the back system.

The three of them have so far been performing consistently well together to keep Inter’s title charge going with the Nerazzuri battling with rivals AC Milan and Juventus for the top spot and Skriniar’s performances have helped massively towards that.

Despite talk of a switch to Tottenham last summer, Skriniar now seems to have won Conte over after losing his place to now Cagliari defender Diego Godin towards the end of last season.

The Uruguayan’s departure in the summer allowed Skriniar to work his way back into Conte’s starting eleven and has not looked back since, this milestone could well be the first of many for the Slovakian international.
