Inter have identified Juan Musso as the man they want to replace current number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, according to an Italian media report today.

As per FCInterNews.it, Inter have looked at and been offered several goalkeepers but the only man they want is Musso, who is currently on the books of Udinese.

Contact between Inter and Musso’s representatives has been ongoing for some time and despite the Nerazzurri’s current corporate and financial issues, they remain keen on a deal for the Argentine international shot-stopper.

Udinese want upwards of €25 million for Musso, who has been one of the standout goalkeepers in Serie A in recent seasons.

Musso would reportedly be excited to join Inter, not least because of the Argentine connection there with vice-president Javier Zanetti.

Elsewhere in the media today it was reported that Inter are working to bring in Granada’s Rui Silva to at least initially serve as back-up to Handanovic, who has come in for a lot of criticsm this season.

Other goalkeepers Inter have been linked with include Cagliari’s Alessio Cragno, Napoli’s Alex Meret and Hellas Verona’s Marco Silvestri.
