Former Inter President Ernesto Pellegrini has ruled out a return to Inter as President amid the uncertainty surrounding current owners Suning who face financial difficulty.

Speaking to Italian station TMW radio ahead of the upcoming Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, Pellegrini dismissed a return to the Nerazzuri with rumours continuing to circulate regarding Suning’s status as club owners.

“Leave that to the youngsters, neither I nor Moratti have thought about it.”

Despite the mess off the pitch, tonight is an important evening on the pitch for Inter with many wondering who will progress to the final of the Coppa Italia after this evening’s show down  in Turin.

Pellegrini on asked who he believes will come out on top this evening said: “I don’t have a crystal ball but I hope Inter will win, especially because they have been playing very well recently.

“It will be an open game but Juve are the favourites given their victory at San Siro”

Inter face two difficult games in succession this week, starting with tonight’s cup clash followed by Lazio at home on Sunday in a hugely important Serie A clash.

“Winning against Juventus is a nice psychological advantage that will help to go on and defeat other sides afterwards” stated Pellegrini when pressed on which game is more important to win.

Inter go into tonight’s fixture with a domestic double still on the cards, but being 2-1 down to Juve before a ball is kicked is always going to be an uphill battle for Conte and his men.
