Beppe Marotta insists the uncertainty surrounding Inter is not affecting the Nerazzurri’s players.

Owners Suning are reportedly considering selling the club amid intense financial difficulties, caused in part by the COVID-19 pandemic but also the new restrictions on overseas investment from the Chinese government.

Speaking to Rai Sport ahead of Inter’s crucial Coppa Italia semi-final second leg away at Juventus, Marotta assured Antonio Conte’s side were not affected by the off-field turbulence.

“These rumours don’t destabilise us, this is a very close-knit group,” Marotta explained before kick-off at the Allianz Stadium.

“There is the painstaking work of Conte and Lele Oriali and, when there is unity, even the big problems can become small.”

Inter will have Romelu Lukaku available unlike in the first leg and Marotta spoke on what it means for the Nerazzurri to have their top goal scorer back in the side for tonight’s match against Juve.

“Lukaku’s return is important, but the whole group is doing well, regardless of who plays.”

Inter head into this match having lost the first leg 2-1 and know that they must score at least twice to stand a chance of facing either Atalanta or Napoli in the Coppa Italia final in May at San Siro.

Achraf Hakimi has also returned from suspension after he missed the first leg, with Christian Eriksen also called up to Conte’s starting XI in midfield.
