Suning will give BC Partners a response on their offer to buy Inter by the end of next week, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, Inter have too many financial difficulties at the moment for Suning not to provide an answer to the British-based private equity fund before too long.

While the Chinese conglomerate have assured they will be able to respect all financial commitments between now and the end of the season, the situation is thought to be a lot more complex than that.

The Turin-based publication highlighted, for instance, that Inter were the only club in Serie A to have requested an extension from the Italian Football Federation on player salary payments for November and December.

There are still a number of things needing to be discussed in negotiations between Suning and BC Partners, from the purchase price to the size of the share BC Partners would receive, as well as the issue concerning how many of the Chinese sponsors would remain with a change of ownership.
