Inter are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach and German national team midfielder Florian Neuhaus, according to a Spanish media report.

TodoFichajes.com report that the Nerazzurri are positioning themselves to be able to bring in the highly rated 23-year-old, who has also drawn links to Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid lately.

Inter are understood to be looking for a complete midfielder and while they have been working on signing Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul, Neuhaus can also play out on the left, which is an area of the team Antonio Conte wishes to strengthen.

However, Neuhaus has a €40 million release clause in his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach and the Bundesliga club are adamant that they will not accept a single penny less than that for Neuhaus.

Neuhaus, who has been with Die Fohlen since 2017, has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored six goals and provided as many assists for his teammates.
