Ivan Perisic will return to Inter’s starting line-up for Sunday’s key Serie A game at home to Lazio, according to an Italian media report today.

Despite scoring in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win at Fiorentina in the league last Friday, the Croatian was left on the bench by Antonio Conte for last night’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg away to Juventus.

Tuttosport’s print edition today reported Perisic would be back in the XI against Simone Inzaghi’s side, though, replacing Matteo Darmian in the left wing-back position.

Inter must now focus their attention back onto their Scudetto charge after being knocked out of the cup by the Bianconeri at the Allianz Stadium.

Conte was without the suspended Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal on Tuesday but he should have both available to face the Biancocelesti at San Siro.

Vidal’s presence on Sunday is not yet certain, though, with the Chilean international still recovering from the knee injury he sustained against Fiorentina last week.

The 33-year-old will train apart from his teammates for a few days but is aiming to recover in time for one of Inter’s most important league games so far this season.

Conte will be certain to have Matias Vecino available in midfield at least, after the Uruguayan returned to the Nerazzurri’s matchday squad in Turin last night.
