Inter are furious with Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici after he tried to persuade Nicolo Barella to switch clubs, according to an Italian media report today.

As per La Repubblica’s print edition, Paratici has repeatedly tried to convince the Italian national team player to leave the Nerazzurri to join the Old Lady.

This was one of several reasons behind the clear resentment between the arch rivals on Tuesday night, when tempers boiled over during and after Inter’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg in Turin.

There were some distasteful scenes at the Allianz Stadium with several staff and executives of the clubs exchanging insults with one another.

Inter boss Antonio Conte was heavily insulted by those he used to work under at the Bianconeri, including Juve president Andrea Agnelli, and hit back by showing his middle finger before half-time.

It was also claimed by sources at Inter that Paratici threatened to hit their team manager Lele Oriali, although Juventus have come out and denied this.

The Italian Football Federation reportedly opened an investigation into the Derby d’Italia scuffles today, meaning Conte could face punishment for his actions.
